Even though your doctor may speak English, many of those performing tests and other office personnel don’t.  It is highly recommended that you bring someone who is fluent in medical Spanish.  Even your doctor with excellent English skills may not be able to adequately translate important information that you need to know.

Additionally, many medical reports will need to be translated for you medical team and insurance providers in your home country.   It is important to have someone fluent in bi-lingual medical terminology so that nothing gets lost in translation.
